Nigerian Army SSC 49 Recruitment 2025/2026 Portal – Applications are invited from eligible Nigerians for commission into the Nigerian Army (NA) as Short Service Combatant Commission (SSCC) officers. The SSCC application is open to both civilians and serving military personnel with appropriate qualifications.
On completion of training and when commissioned as officers, the SSCC officers would serve only in the Combat Arms (Infantry and Armour Corps) and Combat Support Arms (Artillery, Engineers, Signals and Intelligence Corps) of the Nigerian Army.
About the Nigerian Army Short Service Combatant Commission (SSC)
The Short Service Combatant Commission (SSC) is a one-year intensive military training programme designed for university and polytechnic graduates. It prepares candidates for short-term commissioned roles within the Nigerian Army.
Successful participants are commissioned as officers after completing the course at the Nigerian Army School of Infantry, Jaji-Kaduna, or another designated military training institution.

How to Apply for Nigerian Army SSC 49 Recruitment 2025/2026
1. Go online and visit Nigerian Army recruitment webpage at: https://recruitment.army.mil.ng and choose SSCC option.
2. You will be redirected to the page where you can read the conditions of entry for SSCC Course 49/2026.
3. Click on the “Apply Now” button for SSCC 49/2026 as par your qualification.
4. Next you will be prompted to indicate whether you are serving or have served in the Armed Forces of Nigeria. Choose the appropriate option and proceed.
5. If you do not have an active account from previous application, click on “Sign Up” (a verification will be sent to your email) enter your login details and log in. Otherwise log in with your existing details.
6. Fill out the online form and ensure all required documents listed below are uploaded:
a. Recent Passport photograph.
b. Educational certificates (of qualifications indicated).
c. Certificate of state of origin.
d. Birth certificate or age declaration
e. NIN and BVN slips.
